He headed for the farm and smiled as he quickly fed the animals and made sure Hannah would be okay while he was gone.

"I won't be all night. You sure you will be okay?"

He quickly showered and dressed then let Hannah know he was leaving so she could lock the doors.

Once at Amari's house he knocked on the door grinning.

He looked her over head to toe and smiled.

"You look beautiful."

He held the door to his car for her and smiled.

"I thought it would be best to leave the old truck at home tonight."

He drove to his nieces pizza shop.

"I hope you don't mind. This is the only place I go when I don't eat at home. I have a hard time trusting cooks, but I trust these two with my life."

He smiled as he watched her a bit.

"I'll admit that I did ask Faye a lot of questions about you earlier. Even told her to put in a good word about me with you."

He was happy to hear that.

"I've never had this reaction to a woman before. I've dated, but never had an instant attraction like I did when I saw you."

He looked up when their food was put on the table.

"Thank you, Sweety. It looks delicious as usual."

He shook his head.

"Just the farm and taking care of my niece, Hannah. Pretty much fills my days."

He shrugged and smiled.

"My brother was already beginning to have his family when I was born. I was raised with my nieces and nephews. They are all like brothers and sisters to me. All except Hannah. She's my nephew's daughter. With him being gone so much as she was growing up, she was always with me. I've been there for her since she was born. She feels as much my daughter as my own child would."

He looked across the table at her smiling softly.

"What about you? Do you have any brothers or sisters?

He was glad she wasn't alone in the world. Family was important to him and he liked that she had some.

"Do you see them often?"

He was glad they were trying.

"What are their names?"

He held the door to the car for her.

"I don't want the night to end."

He smiled and climbed into the driver's seat.

"Would you like to see the farm?"

He leaned against one of the fences watching the horses.

"It's was my father's farm. My brother owned it for awhile but now that he's gone, I have control of it. I love it here. Hannah seems to enjoy it also. Since none of the others seem very interested, it will most likely end up in Hannah's hands someday."

He nodded thinking about it.

"This farm is a symbol of our family and where we have come from. If a person doesn't take care of their family, then they have nothing left in the end."

He saw Hannah moving around in the house and smiled knowing she was home and safe.

"Want to meet Hannah?"

He opened the door and smiled when he saw Hannah.

"Amari, this is Hannah."

He enjoyed the evening with the two ladies. He kissed Hannah's cheek when she decided it was time for her to go to bed.

"Sweet dreams, Hannah."

He looked over at Amari and smiled softly.

"She likes you."

He nodded thinking about his niece.

"I'm proud of her. She's had a bad situation with her father but she's pulled through it and has grown into a wonderful young lady."
